Elka Haeckel Almeida
Elka Haeckel is a radiant force of movement, breath, and soul. Originally from the lush lands of Bahia, Brazil, she carries the vibrant pulse of her ancestry into every offering — a fusion of sensuality, spirit, and deep feminine wisdom.
For over two decades, Elka has walked the path of a global teacher and space holder. From founding two beloved wellness centers in San Diego to training over 300 yoga teachers, her journey has been one of devotion — to healing, to joy, and to sacred embodiment.
Elka’s teachings are rooted in presence. She weaves together The Radiance Sutras, Instinctive Meditation, and Clarity Breathwork with poetry, storytelling, and intuitive movement — creating spaces where the sacred is felt, not just understood.
She is the creator of a Yoga & Samba fusion , an alchemy where yoga meets the liberating rhythm of Brazil, and the body remembers its joy. Her approach to Prana Flow and Vinyasa is equally alive — a breath-led journey that awakens inner fire and reconnects participants to their creative life force.
Elka also works ceremonially with sacred cacao, guiding heart-opening circles that deepen connection to self, source, and community. Her sessions often integrate sound healing and soulful coaching, offering a multi-dimensional path to vitality and inner peace.
Through her retreats and women’s gatherings across the globe, Elka creates containers of safety, sisterhood, and transformation. Her presence is both grounding and luminous — a gentle invitation back to the truth of who you are.
At the Tahiti Yoga Festival, Elka will hold space for joy to rise, for emotion to move, and for the sacred to be remembered in every breath.
